| Description: |
Rockhampton flooded in 1991. Silt was carried by the Fitzroy River out
to sea. The silt affected the coral reef.
One of the jobs of a marine biologist is to see how the sea bed changes
over time. Tina, a marine biologist at the Central Queensland University,
took photographs of an area near Humpy Island. The photos were taken two
years apart. She wanted to see how quickly the coral was recovering from
the flood.
